Catherine Turner founded the company in 2010 and has since been creating inspiring homes for both residential and commercial clients. Her portfolio spans everything from listed buildings and mid-century houses to contemporary extensions. A period of living and studying in Japan in her twenties cemented her admiration for a minimal aesthetic defined by serene beauty, rich materials, and timeless appeal—a theme that runs through all her creative work.

Design has always been a natural part of Catherine’s life. Her mother ran an interior design and fabric business, exposing her from a young age to textiles, craftsmanship, and the nuances of home styling. This early immersion in design, combined with her experience raising children while moving between cities and renovating homes, gave her an intuitive understanding of how to create spaces that meet the practical demands of family life without sacrificing style.

With over twenty-five years of design experience, Catherine began her career in fashion with Aquascutum before transitioning into brand design strategy, where she worked with top British and international consultancies for a decade. Her more recent work with The English Listed in St Ives, Cambridgeshire—specialists in architectural and interior design, planning consultancy, and sustainable design—further honed her expertise in restoring and enhancing period properties. Catherine has a deep understanding of how to respect the character and heritage of older buildings while seamlessly introducing modern functionality, ensuring that these spaces feel both timeless and livable.

Her approach considers the bones of a building, working from the architectural framework outward to create interiors that feel coherent and purposeful. Whether restoring a listed Georgian townhouse, a village cottage or updating a mid-century villa, Catherine’s ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design ensures that each project maintains its integrity while meeting the needs of modern life.

Catherine’s signature aesthetic combines confidently neutral interiors with calm colors and organic materials, enhancing the lives of her clients while creating homes that stand the test of time.
